Chino Valley Professional Firefighters are proud members of the International Association of Fire Fighters and the California Professional Firefighters, dedicated to protecting the lives, property, and well-being of the residents and visitors of the Chino Valley area. As highly trained professionals, we respond to a wide range of emergencies — including fires, medical incidents, rescues, and hazardous materials — with unwavering commitment, courage, and compassion.
Beyond emergency response, we are deeply invested in the community we serve. Through public education, local outreach, charitable initiatives, and strong partnerships, we strive to enhance public safety and strengthen the bond between our department and the people of Chino Valley.
We stand united in service, advocating for the safety and welfare of both our members and the community. Our mission is simple but vital: Protecting Chino Valley with honor, integrity, and dedication — every call, every shift, every day.
Chino Valley Professional Firefighters Endorse Tom Haughey for Re-Election to Fire Board
The Chino Valley Professional Firefighters are proud to endorse Tom Haughey for re-election to the Chino Valley Fire District Board of Directors, District 3.
Tom has a long record of serving the Chino Valley community and supporting the public safety professionals who protect it. As a longtime local business owner, former Chino City Councilmember and current Fire Board Director, he brings valuable experience, sound judgment and a strong understanding of the needs of our growing community.
Throughout his years of public service, Tom has consistently made public safety a priority. During his time on the Chino City Council, he worked to ensure police and fire services had the funding and resources necessary to serve the community effectively. He has carried that commitment with him to the Fire Board.
As firefighters, we know firsthand that providing exceptional emergency services requires more than simply responding when someone calls 911. It requires planning for the future, investing in modern equipment and technology, maintaining adequate staffing and ensuring firefighters have the training and resources necessary to respond safely and effectively.
Tom understands those needs while also recognizing the responsibility that comes with managing taxpayer dollars. His experience in both business and local government gives him an important perspective when making decisions that impact the long-term strength and financial stability of the Fire District.
Most importantly, Tom understands the community he serves. He has spent decades living, working and serving in the Chino Valley, and his commitment to protecting our residents and supporting our firefighters has remained consistent.

The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members only – who are struggling with addiction, PTSD other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a safe haven for members to talk with other members who have faced or overcome similar challenges.

The Chino Valley Fire REMS Unit has been deployed to the MP-18 Fire in Hoopa, CA, supporting fire operations and providing critical medical response capabilities.
While on the incident, our REMS team had the opportunity to train alongside the Mendocino Hotshot Hand crew conducting a realistic rescue scenario designed to simulate how both teams would work together during an emergency.
This hands-on training allows our firefighters and hotshots to build trust, improve communication, and sharpen the skills needed to safely and efficiently execute a rescue in a challenging wildland environment.
